The entire hairdo of Philippina Annelie Ataccdor Alingasa was glued together, hair by hair, at their peaks by a group of women in Cameroon and wound up on an aluminum spool. Thus a continuous string of hair was created with a length of app. 40 kilometers. This horizontal hairdo is a project stretching across the three continents; Asia, Africa and Europe, a sort of absurd global outsourcing. In terms of exhibitions the spool will be mounted on a wall. With the support of a ball-bearing in the centre of the spool the hair can be easily unwound as much as needed. Depending on the amount of space at hand the hair runs over many tiny spools along the wall, through the exhibition space or even through the entire building.
